Job description

A leading manufacturing company is hiring 1st and 2nd shift Precision Production Set-Up Operator Mills and Lathes to support their on-site operations. This temp-to-perm role offers the opportunity to work with high-precision machining environments and develop valuable skills within a dynamic team. We are seeking motivated individuals eager to contribute to our client’s production goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate machine parts and manage materials in accordance with established manufacturing and quality protocols.
  • Set up and run production on mills and lathes according to schedules and instructions.
  • Perform cleaning, deburring, and packaging of parts per detailed job instructions.
  • Record accurate part counts, in-process quality checks, and maintain production documentation.
  • Conduct or identify the need for machine maintenance and keep workspaces organized and safe.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with machine setups on mills and lathes preferred; entry-level considered based on shift.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and reliably follow safety procedures.
  • Basic computer skills helpful for reporting and documentation tasks.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and handling repetitive movements.
  • Good vision, including tolerance for color vision impairment, and moderate hearing loss as acceptable minimums.
