Job description

If you know inpatient coding like the back of your hand and can handle complex cases without missing a beat, keep reading. We're looking for an experienced Inpatient Coder to step into a fully remote role where your expertise actually matters. This Inpatient Coder position is designed for professionals who have worked in large hospital systems and can confidently code high-acuity cases.
What's the job?
  • Code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
  • Review detailed clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure compliance with CMS and regulatory standards
  • Communicate with providers to clarify and improve documentation
  • Manage a steady volume of complex cases with precision
  • Stay agile as workflows and priorities evolve

What's needed?
  • RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification is required
  • 3+ years of inpatient coding experience
  • Experience in large hospitals (500+ beds preferred)
  • Strong command of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Epic or Solventum experience preferred
