Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IBM CICS Systems Programmer to install, configure, maintain, monitor, and support enterprise CICS environments on IBM z/OS mainframes. The role involves performance tuning, troubleshooting, security administration, upgrades, disaster recovery, and production support for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

CICS Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain CICS regions
  • Perform CICS upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
  • Define and manage CICS resources using CEDA/CSD
  • Support CICSPlex environments
  • System Monitoring & Performance
  • Monitor region health and transaction performance
  • Analyze SMF/RMF reports
  • Tune CICS parameters for optimal performance
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks
  • Problem Determination
  • Troubleshoot CICS abends and region failures
  • Analyze dumps, traces, logs, and system messages
  • Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams
  • Provide root-cause analysis for incidents

 

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security using RACF integration
  • Maintain audit and compliance standards
  • Manage user access and permissions

Production Support

  • Provide 24×7 on-call support when required
  • Support disaster recovery testing
  • Handle incident, change, and problem management activities
