Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician supports safe and accurate medication dispensing by processing and filling prescription orders, maintaining drug inventory, and preparing medications for pharmacist verification. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely order fulfillment, efficient workflow within the pharmacy, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescription orders accurately in preparation for pharmacist verification.
- Retrieve medications from stock, count, package, and label orders according to established procedures.
- Maintain drug inventory, including organizing stock and monitoring medication levels.
- Support the management of automated dispensing units by refilling and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Replenish workstation supplies for filling prescriptions, including vials, caps, labels, and related materials.
- Remove outdated or expired products from shelves and storage areas in accordance with pharmacy policies.
- Assist with inventory replenishment by restocking medications and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support safe and accurate dispensing.
- Follow all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures to support patient safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Skills
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
- Pharmacy technician certification meeting state and national standards.
- Pharmacy or prescription data entry experience with high attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a mail order pharmacy setting.
- Ability to navigate and work efficiently within Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as part of daily duties.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks.

- Demonstrated accuracy and reliability in medication counting, packaging, and labeling.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and workstation supplies effectively.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and pharmacy protocols consistently.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.
Work Environment
This position is based in a pharmacy setting that focuses on mail order prescription fulfillment. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working at organized workstations equipped with medication stock, automated dispensing units, and prescription filling supplies such as vials, caps, and labels. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. PST, with potential overtime and occasional Saturday shifts based on business needs. The environment emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, safety, and teamwork while working with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, and pharmacy-specific technology.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
