In this role, you will join the Apple Retail Engineering FrontEnd team as a Front aeEnd Engineer, contributing to the development and enhancement of Apple's e-commerce platform. Your responsibilities will include the construction and maintenance of high-performance web applications, ensuring seamless customer experiences across various devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative design concepts.
Description
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to implement responsive and accessible web applications for Apple's Online Store.
Write clean, modular, and reusable code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user engagement, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users globally.
Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser compatibility issues, and ensure code quality through peer reviews and testing.
Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and contribute to enhancing the online store's front-end architecture.
Ensure the highest standards in security, accessibility, and design fidelity.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in front-end development, particularly in high-traffic, consumer-facing applications.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and experience with modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
Solid understanding of browser internals, web performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
Knowledge of build tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and mobile-first principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of browser internals, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating user-friendly, pixel-perfect interfaces.
