Pay Scale: $30-35/hr
Hourly rate will depend on level of education, Certification and experience.

Summary: Under direct and indirect supervision, provides nursing support, coaching, training, and education to nursing staff in Facility Based Crisis Centers, Guilford Residential, and Good Hope Hospital, as well as temp agency staff working in these facilities.  Assists with interviewing and onboarding new nursing staff. Assist with nursing coverage plans. Helps plan, provide and ensure effective training for new nursing staff, appropriate for nursing certification. When necessary, provides nursing tasks including but not limited to: collecting vital signs, maintaining client records, performing lab tests, completing medication prior authorizations, scheduling appointments, supporting prescribers, and other administrative duties required within the facilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides education, support and training to nursing staff in inpatient/residential services. Facilitates inpatient nursing staff meeting for the agency.
  • Provides indirect services such as care coordination and consultation. Learns Medication Reconciliations process and trains other nurses in this process. Assist as needed in review/audit of client files to ensure compliance of agency protocols.  May participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities, and provide crisis intervention consultation to all member of the team.
  • Ensures training and supervision plans are appropriate given scope of staff nursing certification (RN, LPN, CNA, CMA, etc).  Provide onboarding training(s) for temp agency staff qualified to provide coverage at the inpatient facilities.
  • Assists in QI reviews to ensure state and company compliance
  • Leads and coaches nursing staff on agency goals and priorities.
  • Works closely with Human Resources, Senior Program Directors, Regional Directors, and Medical Directors. Demonstrates ability to lead and coach nursing staff on agency goals and priorities.
  • Assist as needed with nursing coverage plans, interviewing/screening nursing applicants and medical trainings as needed.   
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience: Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hold active certification as a Registered Nurse (RN). A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is preferred.
