DCOMM has been building and supporting broadband infrastructure for over 20 years. We specialize in fiber, coax, underground, and aerial construction across multiple states. As demand for high-speed connectivity continues to grow, we're expanding our aerial construction teams and looking for dependable, safety-driven professionals to grow with us.


This is not project-to-project work - this is long-term, steady infrastructure work with opportunity for advancement.


Position Summary


The Lineman (Aerial Construction) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial fiber and coax systems. This role performs strand installation, lashing/overlashing, hardware placement, pole transfers, and aerial cable construction while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.


This is a hands-on, physically active field position working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Install strand, anchors, guy wire, and aerial hardware
  • Perform lashing and overlashing of fiber and coax cable
  • Set up and safely operate bucket trucks and climbing gear
  • Transfer existing attachments during pole change-outs
  • Maintain proper clearances and compliance with NESC standards
  • Identify and report safety hazards
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites
  • Follow all company and client safety requirements


Qualifications

  • Previous aerial construction experience preferred
  • Experience with fiber and/or coax installation
  • Ability to climb poles (when required)
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening
  • Strong safety mindset and reliability
