Job description

Position Summary
As a Grinder, you will operate grinding equipment and utilize precision tools to ensure metal components meet exact specifications. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with blueprints and metal fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts to determine proper grinding procedures
  • Set up and operate grinding equipment to shape and finish metal workpieces
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Straighten workpieces and remove imperfections using presses and hand tools
  • Perform surface finishing using files and other hand tools as required
  • Fit and align parts during pre-assembly to verify dimensional accuracy
  • Remove completed parts from machines and organize on racks, skids, or containers
  • Identify and separate defective materials to maintain quality standards
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely; this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience in grinding, machining, or metal fabrication preferred
  • Ability to lift weight up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work for standing, bending, stooping, reaching, use arms and hands, and lifting throughout your shift

  • Pay rate is $17.00 - $19.00 + $1.00 shift differentials, based on experience

  • 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1: 00 AM | Friday OT as needed
