The Commercial Lines National Ratemaking Team and Business solutions Ontario Atlantics and West - Analysis and Business solutions section is looking for a candidate to join it as an Advisor, Actuarial Analysis and Statistics. Are you interested in working on various projects using advanced analytics in collaboration with Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, Operations and our Exclusive Agent Network in an engaging environment with a focus on people development? Then you may be the one we are looking for!More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Recommend solutions based on the analyses

  • Develop solutions for actuarial and business problems using a variety of tools and techniques including advanced analytics

  • Work closely with Commercial Lines business units and underwriting to understand and implement solutions

  • Develop policies and guidelines through research and impact analyses

  • Support project planning, development, execution and coordination

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics or Statisticsor in a related field

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Successful completion of at least five CAS exams (Candidates with less experience and exams will still be considered)

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Knowledge of P & C Insurance

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, Radar, Emblem, VBA, R
