Job description

Travel RN (Registered Nurse) Opportunity

City/State: Phoenix, Arizona

Shift: 12H Nights, 7PM - 7AM, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: 08/03/2026

Job Description:

The RN in the Med/Tele unit will provide care for patients with common diagnoses such as epilepsy, brain tumors, and subdural hematoma, among others. The role requires level 1 trauma experience, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, as well as competence in maintaining sterile fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer care for patients with epilepsy, 24-48 Trend EEGs, brain tumors, and scoliosis surgeries.
  • Perform SIMs Lab tasks including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, maintaining sterile technique.
  • First to float to MS/Tele units as needed, possibly including Westgate or AZ General Laveen Campus.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, and SWAT RNs.

Requirements:

  • BLS, ACLS certification required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry unit.
  • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, with two attempts given.
  • Competency in maintaining sterile fields is essential.
