What is a telemedicine provider?

Telemedicine providers are healthcare professionals who deliver medical care and consultation to patients remotely using digital communication technologies, such as video calls, phone calls, or secure messaging platforms. They diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, and offer follow-up care without requiring patients to visit a physical clinic. This approach helps increase access to healthcare, especially for those in rural or underserved areas, and provides convenient, timely medical advice from the comfort of a patient's home.

How does a telemedicine provider typically collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care?

As a Telemedicine Provider, you will frequently coordinate with primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and support staff using secure digital platforms. Collaboration often includes reviewing patient records, sharing consultation notes, and participating in virtual case discussions to create cohesive care plans. Effective communication and documentation skills are essential, as timely updates and clarifications can significantly impact patient outcomes. You may also need to help patients navigate in-person follow-up visits or lab work, ensuring continuity of care beyond the virtual setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a telemedicine provider, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Telemedicine Provider, you need a valid medical license, strong clinical expertise, and knowledge of telehealth protocols. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, secure video conferencing tools, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential. Excellent communication, digital literacy, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for engaging patients remotely and addressing their needs effectively. These competencies ensure high-quality, accessible care while maintaining compliance and patient trust in a virtual healthcare environment.

SynergenX is a leader in evidence-based hormone optimization and wellness care, providing comprehensive treatment for both men and women. This position will maintain a balanced patient population, with an approximately 50/50 focus on men's hormone replacement therapy (MHRT) and women's hormone replacement therapy (WHRT). As SynergenX continues to grow, there are significant opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
We welcome applications from both experienced providers and newer graduates who have already obtained their required DEA registration and are ready to begin practicing. Candidates must possess an active DEA registration at the time of application, as the company does not reimburse or sponsor DEA registration costs.

Candidates who can complete the hiring and credentialing process promptly are strongly preferred. This includes an active NPI without specialty focus, current board certification with documentation, a fully active and unencumbered Ohio advanced provider license, and active DEA registration in Ohio or able to transfer from current state.

  • Current DEA registration appropriate for practice in Ohio, required at the time of application. No company reimbursement is provided.
  • Current National Provider Identifier (NPI) number without specialty.
  • Current national board certification applicable to your profession.
  • NPI number and board certification information must be disclosed during the application process to be considered for this opportunity.
  • All required Ohio licensure and prescribing credentials must be active and in good standing.
  • No current or pending malpractice lawsuits.
  • Experience or strong interest in men's and women's hormone replacement therapy, preventive medicine, or medical weight management is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.
  • Patients are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM in the eastern time zone.
  • Fully remote while providing telemedicine services to patients located throughout Ohio.

Compensation
  • $120,000 annually.
  • Full-time, exempt W-2 position.
Benefits
  • Fully remote position.
  • Company-provided IT equipment.
  • Company polos provided.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility after 60 days.
  • PTO begins accruing on your first day of employment, with increased accrual based on yearly tenure.
  • CME reimbursement and dedicated CME PTO.
  • Malpractice insurance provided.
  • Supervising/collaborating physician support provided as applicable.
  • Employee discounts.
  • 401(k) with company matching.
If you are passionate about helping patients achieve optimal health through evidence-based hormone replacement therapy and are looking to join an innovative, patient-focused organization, we encourage you to apply.
