Job description

As a Supervisor House Admin, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

Job Summary and Qualifications

*  This is a Full Time Mixed shift position.  The schedule will vary between days/nights as needed *  

As a Supervisor House Admin, you will serve as Administrator-In-House after hours, weekends and holidays.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Assists in the provision of supplemental nursing staff to in-patient and other areas.
  • Works with departments within the hospital to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement.
  • Assists staff in obtaining needed supplies and equipment.
  • Utilizes chain of command to address departmental or facility issues.
  • Responds to emergencies on the campus and implements emergency plans for the facility.
  • Interacts with patients, families, staff and physicians to ensure prompt resolution of concerns.
  • Supports hospital mission, vision and goals.
  • Places personal emphasis on customer service. 
  • Other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an accredited scho0l of professional nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
  • Current BLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • 2 years general duty staff experience required
  • 2 years management experience (manager or unit supervisor)
  • Some specialty are experience (ICU.ED, etc)
