Job description

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Associate to join our dynamic team! In this pivotal role, you will support the National Director of Payer Engagement in all aspects of contract management, negotiation, and compliance for TCN and its valued members and clients. Your focus will be on drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts with payers, vendors, and partners, ensuring they align perfectly with our organizational goals and regulatory requirements. As a Contracts Associate, you will be a go-to resource for contract-related inquiries, assist in developing innovative contract templates, and help coordinate contract processes across various departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support negotiations by preparing documentation and analyzing proposed terms.
  • Maintain centralized systems for tracking contract status, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure timely execution and storage of agreements for audit readiness.
  • Serve as a resource for TCN members regarding contract-related inquiries and processes.
  • Prepare templates and guidance documents for members to streamline contracting activities.
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain HIPAA Business Associate Agreements and update as needed.
  • Work closely with payer engagement, credentialing, and finance teams to align contract terms with operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain operational and recordkeeping systems for efficient performance and audit records of TCN and member contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare support resources for members and internal use.
  • Connect with other TCN employees to ensure coordination of contracts between departments, as indicated.
  • Strive to create and enhance the quality of contract-related product offerings to TCN members and clients.
  • Assist with process improvement activities that will benefit core duties.
  • Provide standard and ad hoc reports in user-friendly formats to TCN leaders and members.
  • Resolve all work-related problems promptly and use good judgment in escalating important issues to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or certificate in relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years' experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably with healthcare focus.
  • Knowledge of contract language, negotiation principles, and contract management systems.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA privacy rules and healthcare regulatory guidelines.
  • Active learner, innovative, with a drive to research and understand compliance, contracting, and credentialing.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
