The Manager, Advanced Practice Providers, Telehealth is responsible for overseeing the team of NPs and other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) delivering telehealth services. The incumbent in this role manages staff performance, ensures the quality of care, ongoing education, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams and contributes to the development and implementation of telehealth strategies and protocols. A portion of time may be clinical in nature for diagnostic patient care primarily through virtual, remote consultation via video conference or telephone. The Manager, APPs, Telehealth is a fully remote managerial role that requires exceptional virtual leadership abilities to ensure the delivery of VIP, patient-centric care.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and leads the APP Telehealth team, ensuring effective delivery of diagnostic patient care primarily through virtual, remote consultations.
  • Oversees assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and documentation of geriatric patients' physical and psychosocial health status.
  • Actively engage in direct patient care through telehealth consultations, dedicating up to 20% of work time to this function. This hands-on approach ensures a deep understanding of the patient experience and the workflow of the team.
  • Promotes a collaborative, patient-centric approach to care, in coordination with primary caregivers and interdisciplinary care plan teams.
  • Facilitates staff development, performance management, and team productivity to optimize service delivery.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of telehealth/telemedicine policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensures compliance with guidelines, regulations, departmental goals/objectives, standards of performance, and quality patient care compliance.
  • Utilizes resources effectively and efficiently to plan and provide services that are safe, patient-centric, and fiscally responsible.
  • Analyzes patient data, health outcomes, and service utilization to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and guide decision-making.
  • Manages scheduling flexibility based on the needs of the department, including coverage for PTO, LOA, and other unexpected absences.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned and modified at the manager's discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Expert-level business acuity
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of general Advanced Practitioner job-related functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methods
  • In-depth knowledge of telehealth functions, practices, processes, and techniques
  • Strong leadership, team building and performance management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert clinical judgement, problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize under pressure
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service, build trust and foster professional relationships
  • Proficient skill in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; competent in other systems required for the position
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and/or nationally for meetings, training and conferences up to 20% of the time; flexible to work after-hours, evenings, weekends and/or holidays if/as needed
  • Spoken and written fluency in English; bilingual (Spanish/Creole) a plus
  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • MS degree in Nursing (MSN) and graduation from a school of nursing for Advanced Practice Nursing with certification in area of specialty required.
  • Board certification by AANP or ANCC required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification desired
  • Licensed to practice in Florida required; additional licesnses to practice in the following states highly preferred; GA,VA, MI, MO, OH, PA, TN, TX, IL, KY, LA, KS.
  • Will be expected to acquire additional state licenses upon hire if any of the above are not already acquired
  • A minimum of 5 years' acute clinical work experience required
  • A minimum of 3 years' direct managerial/supervisory experience responsible for overseeing a clinical team required
  • A minimum of 3 years' telehealth work experience highly preferred

PAY RANGE:

$119,476 - $170,680 Salary

The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
