Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Maintenance Carpenter - Level 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

The Carpenter performs skilled maintenance, repair, and finish carpentry work to support industrial and commercial facilities. This role requires expertise in woodworking, facility repairs, and blueprint interpretation to maintain safe and functional work environments.

This position will work 2nd shift.

In this job, you will:

  • Repair and maintain various structures and equipment in industrial and commercial establishments, working from detailed blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions
  • Perform rough-to-finish carpentry work on buildings, office partitions, benches, scaffolding, framework, platforms, and trim
  • Operates woodworking tools such as electrical saws, routers, drills, planers, lathes, jointers, molders, borers, and sanders.
  • Makes shop computations relating to dimensions of work and selects necessary materials
  • Installs pictures, whiteboards, monitors, and other similar items.
  • Performs basic repairs of ceiling tiles, drywall, and roofs
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • 4 years carpentry-related experience
  • Ability to inspect, identify, and provide solutions to repair systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Large/Multi-Site Facilities Carpentry experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
