Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for aPrincipal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (Level 3) or Sr. Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be locatedon-site daily inSan Diego, CA with a 4/10 work schedule.

Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This is an individual contributor role that can be filled at either level.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives

  • Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality

  • Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts

  • Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

  • Assists in preparing for internal and external audits and/or compliance reviews

  • Assists with maintaining Cost & Schedule integration across all Enterprise projects

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, and/or industry related field ORMaster's degree with 3 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or industry related field.

  • Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Experience in Government DoD Earned Value Management reporting with an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

  • Comprehensive understanding of EVMS standards and best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, and/or industry related field ORMaster's degree with 6 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or industry related field.

  • Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in material cost management.

  • Excel Macro/VBA Skills.

  • Experience in Deltek Acumen Risk.

  • Experience in Microsoft Project and Project Server.

  • Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
