Your performance areas:
The Manager, Major Surface Projects is responsible for developing global surface drilling solutions sales and delivery capability as a competitive advantage for the growth of largescale rotary surface mining equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensure successful sales and delivery processes of the full mining equipment portfolio for key surface mining projects alongside customer-facing sales area teams.
  • Lead a surface drilling major projects team responsible for working with sales areas to support rotary mining equipment application expertise, productivity calculations, mining equipment solutions recommendations, formulation of customer value propositions, and overall tender support.
  • Coach the team in effective project delivery and support sales areas in selected surface mining equipment sales and delivery projects.
  • Lead the mining equipment and sales solution development process during sales.
  • Manage the team to conduct customer application studies and configure application-based solutions.
  • Develop product and project bundling strategies and pricing models for surface mining equipment technology.
  • Oversee the team to configure proof of concept models, optimize surface mining drill tools, and develop drill tool contract models and service contracts.
  • Promote automation and digital value propositions and oversee the team to provide comprehensive tender support and assist sales areas with project delivery.
  • Monitor mining equipment fleet and automation performance, conduct fleet and product productivity studies and provide feedback for divisional offering development plans.
  • Train the sales organization, monitor the performance of the sales process in each sales case to meet the set sales targets.
  • Develop the culture of excellence and high standards of operating.
  • Track major trends in surface mining industry, including green-and brownfield project development.
  • Support account management to develop customer relationships with top 10 surface mining companies. Create new opportunities including site visits and maintain a deep understanding of competitor offering and performance.

Your profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and five (5) years of experience as Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Area Manager.
  • The five years of experience must have included the sale of surface mining equipment, including rotary tools, drilling and/or crushing machines and related customer account management.
  • Up to 15% domestic and/or international travel required. May telecommute from home in Alachua, FL MSA up to two (2) days per week.
