We are hiring a full-time Director of Clinical Services.
Job Summary:
Within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the Executive Director, the Director of Nursing plans, and coordinates nursing services with those of the medical and administrative systems. Participates as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of Medi-Nurse Home Care's nursing services. In summary, is responsible for patient care, management, resource management, and fiscal management.

Education And Experience:

  • A Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of home care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position is responsible for supervising the nursing staff.

  • Utilizes capabilities of nursing and paraprofessional personnel in the development of orientation and staff education programs.
  • Recognizes leadership potential and offering opportunities for leadership training and development.
  • Encourages and assists personnel to continue self-improvement through formal education, educational meetings, and active participation in professional and related organizations.
  • Assists with interviews and hires select home health care personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing, directing, and supervising the following Nursing services.
  • Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations.
  • Director of Nursing must be flexible to accommodate schedule changes. May require participation in on-call rotation, travel to assist with necessary patient care coverage and travel to regional/corporate meetings. May also require work after normal business hours to accommodate client/business needs.
  • Once a month participation in on-call and weekend coverage rotation.
  • Develops standards that ensure safe and effective services to patients and families.
  • Keeps staff informed of agency developments, needs, etc., and encourages their participation in problem solving at the organization and community levels.
  • Evaluate and implement programs, services, field personnel, service goals and objectives.
  • Participates with the Administrator and Executive Director in the formulation of a business plan, i.e., strategic goals, resource allocation plan(s), staffing, and a yearly budget.
  • Assists in the evaluation of community needs and plans programs and services to meet with identified needs.
  • Establishes and conducts an ongoing quality assurance program as appropriate according to the organizational structure.
  • Maintains a Certified Daily report for the agency as outlined in 400.497(5), F.S.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and/or required.
