Position Summary

Select Maintenance is seeking an experienced Digger Derrick Operator to join our Houston team. This position is responsible for operating digger derricks, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and other equipment in support of roadway, traffic signal, utility, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate digger derricks, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and related equipment
  • Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks and trailers
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Follow MUTCD standards and company safety requirements
  • Assist with training and mentoring crew members
  • Maintain required licenses, certifications, and training
  • Use proper PPE and safe work practices at all times
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas CDL Class A or B License
  • Minimum 8 years of construction, utility, traffic signal, signage, or related experience
  • Familiarity with MUTCD standards
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be insurable

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights exceeding 15 feet
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
