Core Responsibilities
  • Instruction: Teach exploratory courses covering business ethics, economics, financial analysis, digital literacy, computer science, and basic computer software.
  • Lesson Planning: Create and modify daily lesson plans aligned with North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards.
  • Lab & Equipment Management: Maintain hardware, software, and peripheral inventory, ensuring students use technology safely and properly.
  • Student Assessment: Monitor and evaluate academic progress, track outcomes, and maintain accurate records.
  • Extracurricular Support: Sponsor or assist with student clubs and activities like STEM, Robotics, or Future Business Leaders.

Qualifications and Licensure
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business education, computer science, or a related business field.
  • Licensure: Hold or be eligible to hold a valid NC professional educator's license in Business Education (Area 760), Information Technology (Area 765), or Technology Engineering and Design (Area 820).
