Senior Telecommunications Superintendent

Ledcor Technical Services has been building and servicing communication networks for customers across North America since 1979. Utilizing our broad expertise and experience, we customize solutions to best meet our client’s needs. We act as a key partner for our clients by delivering exceptional quality, reliability, and safety in all that we do. We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Superintendents to join our team for large-haul fiber installation projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day field operations, developing project plans, monitoring performance, mentoring colleagues, and providing solutions to anticipated client needs. Essential Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Develop Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations.
  • Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules.
  • Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
  • Track financial aspects of the project.
  • Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
  • Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
  • Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to directly supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
  • Problem‑solving abilities and capacity to anticipate and address issues.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
Working Conditions
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which includes sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
  • This is a site‑based position requiring travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites across multiple states.
