# Project Manager IAmpirical - CovingtonPart of AmpiricalCovington, LAPosted 4 months ago$90,000 - $110,000/yearFull-time## About the RoleThe Project Manager I is responsible for managing engineering deliverables including EPC project designs, BOM development, equipment specifications, and construction requirements for high voltage projects. This position is accountable for ensuring adherence to Ampirical’s quality control guidelines and reviewing the work of peers and engineers/sub-contractors to ensure timely project quality and delivery. Project Manager I is expected to be able to fully execute all aspects EPC projects with limited oversight and direction setting.## What you'll do* Coordinates the successful development and execution of project plans, including safety, scope, cost, schedule, cash flow, quality, and risk for multi-discipline projects. Provides management and coordination to ensure project deliverables are met, completed on-time and within the established cost constraints.* • Leads the project team and provides clear, concise communication to the stakeholders and functional group members. The team may include personnel (internal, client, or third party) from transmission planning; distribution planning; civil, substation and transmission engineering; project controls; lines construction and maintenance; substation construction and maintenance; system protection; telecommunications; meter services; construction administration; distribution design; system operations; land resources; environmental services; procurement; government affairs; major accounts; economic development and legal departments as the project requires.* • Works with customers and stakeholders to develop and evaluate project alternatives.* • Advances the development of project plans, including project scope, cost estimates, schedule and cash flow. Project plans will also include consideration for safety, environment, land use, regulation, communication, procurement, reliability, quality, and risk.* • Responsible for negotiation, execution, and administration of agreements with customers, suppliers, service providers, and contractor resources.* • Develops and executes the project plan upon approval.* • Coordinates project planning to develop project deliverables and milestones for EPC projects including project planning, equipment, permits, land, and land rights.* • Monitors and controls the project, including safety, scope, cost, schedule, cash flow, quality, and risk.* • Measures and communicates project performance to customers and stakeholders. Manages changes to the project plan.* • Facilitates delivery of project close-out, including final acceptance of project deliverables; transfer of ownership; status of project id; project accounting audit and true-up; and final project report.* • Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned.* • Reviews and approve drawings and material lists developed by designers.* • Develops project estimates and schedules, evaluate design options and criteria for technical merit, and conduct field visits to verify routing conditions and parameters.* • Reviews drawings for manufacturers and use pertinent information in the production of design drawings.* • Conducts internal and external client, manufacturers, and contractor meetings.* • Manages the development of project proposals, bid preparation, project schedules, bill of materials, etc.* • Perform quality reviews of engineering work for both internal assets/sub-contractors on assigned projects.* • Any and all related tasks assigned by Supervisor.## What we're looking for* 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer focused on Substation, Protection & Controls, and/or Transmission & Distribution Line projects preferred. PM experience in multi-discipline EPC projects in other industries acceptable.* • Demonstrated knowledge of utility engineering practices with an emphasis on transmission and substation design; critical path method scheduling; work breakdown structure; utility accounting practices; economic analysis; company policies, rules, and regulations; construction methods; contract administration; equipment specifications; property rights; and local, state, and federal permitting.* • Advanced organizational skills required to manage multiple complex transmission, substation & distribution projects ensuring safety, cost, schedule, scope, and quality is met.* 10 Education (programs completed/degree obtained)* Preferred* Required* Desired Major or* Degree Field* High School/GED* X* Trade School or Technical School* 2 Year Degree (Associates)* 4 Year Degree (Bachelors)* X* Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, others considered.* Master’s Degree* Doctorate* Other: in absence of bachelor’s degree, 10 years of related work experience in utility design and/or utility experience and/or utility project Management* X## Nice to have* Excellent Communication at multiple organizational levels* • Managing to Deadlines and Budgets* • Leadership / Motivation Qualities* • Conflict Management* • PMP Certification* • Excellent computer system skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) for cost and schedule reporting* • Primavera P6/MS Projects### Work ScheduleWeekdaysMorning (6AM - 12PM)Afternoon (12PM - 6PM)Evening (6PM - 12AM)overnight### Ready to apply?Job TypeFull-timeScheduleWeekdays:Morning, Afternoon, Evening, overnightSalary$90,000 - $110,000/year #J-18808-Ljbffr
