Job description

Currently seeking a Sales Director who will be responsible for identifying and driving revenue growth across Tier 2 and Tier 3 telecommunications service providers and expanding market presence across telecommunications and infrastructure solutions. This role requires extensive experience in fiber optic and copper network solutions, with a strong emphasis on installation services, fiber to the home deployment, engineering collaboration and supplier management. Strong understanding of outside plant (OSP), inside plant (ISP), FTTH (fiber-to -the home) and FTTx, broadband deployment, and network infrastructure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 telecom.
  • Drive revenue growth through the sales of fiber optic and copper connectivity solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities while expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and maintain pipeline visibility through CRM tools.
  • Lead generation and prospecting to closing and contract negotiation.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities within telecommunications, broadband, utility and infrastructure sectors.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure service delivery aligns with sales promises and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate pricing, secure product availability and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offers, and customer feedback to continuously refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive performance metrics, manage sales pipeline, and report on KPI’s and forecasts to executive leadership.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of 6-8 sales professionals (Inside and Outside sales).

Required Skills, and Abilities

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, direct sales, or sales leadership in the telecommunications industry with a focus on fiber optics and FTTH.
  • Deep understanding of fiber optics principles and network architecture.
  • Strong understanding of FTTH technology, deployment models, and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with market dynamics and emerging technologies in broadband.
  • Experience selling copper network solutions and telecommunications infrastructure products.
  • Experience managing supplier and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a data-driven approach to sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of outside plant (OSP), inside plant (ISP), FTTH (fiber-to -the home) and FTTx, broadband deployment, and network infrastructure.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, telecommunications, engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of successful B2B sales experience in telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in fiber optic and copper network solutions, with a strong emphasis on installation services, fiber to the home deployment, engineering collaboration and supplier management.
  • Proven success selling into Tier 2 and Tier 3 telecommunications carriers, ISPs, or broadband providers.
  • Willingness to travel at least 25%
