What you will do:
The Aerial Foreman directs and supervises crews on different projects and tasks and makes sure everything is finished in a reasonable and timely manner. They ensure that all tasks are completed within the safety protocols and guidelines.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Responsible for placing strand, fiber, anchors, and proper hardware.
  • Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with co-workers and customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of various telecommunication construction duties.
  • Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.

Qualifications/ Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required. Some college or vocational training preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Previous experience in the broadband industry required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and direct reports.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations and general safety standards.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.
  • Required to lift 32-foot ladder.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • May be required to climb poles (with proper equipment), ladders, and other structures as necessary.
  • Required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The Employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions. The Employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.

Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands
