We are hiring a Level 1/2 Lead DC Power Technician for the Critical Infrastructure Team. The new hire will plan and coordinate installation workloads, assign jobs, direct, instruct and assist equipment installer with installation of equipment. Work will be performed without supervision and instruction. Must have longstanding experience with installation and cabling of AC and DC power equipment including BCDBB’s, BDFB’s, and UPS Systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Circuit modifications
  • Software adds or upgrades
  • Power transition work
  • Addition or removal of batteries
  • Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
  • Equipment testing and turn-up
  • Overseeing volatile work activities
  • Job-site supervision of subcontractor work
  • Additions, modifications or removals to Power Boards
  • All required documentation and Visio as-builts
  • Travel up to 75% or more is required for this role.

    What You Will Need:

    • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience or equivalent as determined by the installation supervisor, CI manager and Maicom management.
    • Proficiency in the installation testing and turn-up of DC power systems, inverter, batteries, the installation of iron work, equipment cabinets, BDCBBs, BDFBs and related hardware.
    • Hold current training certificates from each manufacture of equipment that is being installed
    • Maintain a yearly update of the manufacture’s training or as required by the manufacture
    • Hold a certificated of completion from a training facility providing a appropriated curriculum.
      • Be capable of performing the same work operations/job activities as a Skill Level 3 installer without supervision or direction.
      • Be capable of performing as the Installation supervisor in-charge person.
      • Be capable of performing additions, removals and modifications on working equipment and circuits. All Level 4 work operations/job activities may include:
        • Circuit modifications
        • Software additions, upgrades or updates
        • Power transition work
        • Addition or removal of batteries

      Position Type:
      This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
