SUMMARY: As a Cable Technician / Field Service Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential telecommunications services including TV, high-speed internet, and smart home systems.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO:

  • Install and activate cable television, broadband internet, and phone services
  • Perform new service installations, reconnects, upgrades, and service transfers
  • Troubleshoot service interruptions and diagnose connectivity issues
  • Install and configure modems, routers, converters, and cable boxes
  • Run and secure interior and exterior wiring
  • Relocate and install cable outlets and network connections
  • Educate customers on equipment operation and service features
  • Ensure proper signal levels and service quality
  • Follow company safety standards and installation procedures
  • Complete assigned service work orders and installation requests
  • Provide exceptional customer service during every installation visit

Experience operating the following equipment is highly valued:

  • Coaxial cable installation tools

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in telecommunications, cable installation, internet installation, or technical field service preferred
  • Sales or customer service experience a plus
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in customersโ€™ homes
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work 5โ€“6 days per week including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license preferred

WORK HOURS & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a field-based role requiring full-time travel to customer locations, within a <100-mile service area around Cincinnati, OH.
  • The typical schedule is 40-50 hours per week, including alternating weekends as needed.
