Participates in configuration, installation, and performance analysis of networks.Job DescriptionThis position performs intermediate-level tasks with growing independence. This role involves executing technical work, coordinating with vendors, and contributing to process improvements. Consultants manage small projects and use enterprise tools to support operations and reporting.What will you do:Independently manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.Conduct site visits and produce engineering documentation with minimal supervision.Perform equipment troubleshooting and assist with system turnups.Review and validate technical drawings and documentation packages.Plan fiber installations and resolve moderate fiber-related issues.Process material requests and coordinate deliveries with vendors.Lead safety discussions and contribute to team meetings with technical insights.Implement change management actions and document operational impacts.Maintain accurate project updates in tracking systems and dashboards.Participate in storm restoration planning and support field operations.Position Specific ResponsibilitiesServe as the field-based telecommunications subject matter expert (SME).Act as the primary liaison between Telecommunications Operations and project stakeholders.Partner closely with, Telecommunications Technicians, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, Station Protection & Controls, Other business unitsSupport capital projects and operational initiatives.Provide technical guidance on telecommunications equipment installation practices.Coordinate telecommunications-related field activities.Communicate project status, requirements, and updates to stakeholders.Ensure telecommunications requirements are incorporated into project execution.Support long-term operational reliability and maintenance of telecommunications systems.Facilitate collaboration between field operations and project teams to ensure successful project deliveryWhat we are looking for:Minimum Requirements for SG 06 Telecom Associate:Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications or related field of studyOR associate’s degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience.OR HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required.Licenses/Certifications:Valid Driver's License is Required.Other requirements:Intermediate knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles.Understanding of telecom systems and interrelationships between components.Competency in analytical techniques to handle assignments of moderate complexity.Prioritize safety and consistently adhere to all safety protocols and practices, contributing to a strong safety culture.Ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes.Strong collaboration and cross-training capabilities within and across teams.Effective communication and initiative in presenting new ideas.Occasional travel may be required.Minimum Requirements for SG 07 Telecom Consultant:Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study + 2 years of relevant work experience.OR associate’s degree in field mentioned above with 4 years of relevant work experience.OR HS diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant work experience required.Licenses/Certifications:Valid Driver's License is Required.Other required.Licenses/Certifications:Valid Driver's License Required.Other requirements:Advanced understanding of telecom technologies, systems integration, and network architecture.Proficiency in analyzing complex problems and developing strategic solutions.Experience in regulatory compliance and performance metric development.Prioritize safety and consistently adhere to all safety protocols and practices, contributing to a strong safety culture.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with cross-functional collaboration experience.Ability to lead process improvements and mentor junior staff.Professional communication and presentation skills.Occasional travel may be required.Minimum Requirements for SG 09 Telecom Consultant Principle:Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study 10 years of relevant work experience.OR associate’s degree in field mentioned above with 12 years of relevant work experience.OR HS diploma/GED with 14 years of relevant work experience required.Licenses/Certifications:Valid Driver's License is Required.Other requirements:In-depth knowledge of telecom operations, infrastructure planning, and enterprise systems.Strategic thinking and ability to influence organizational direction.Experience in managing vendor relationships and regulatory audits.Prioritize safety and consistently adhere to all safety protocols and practices, contributing to a strong safety culture.Strong analytical and decision-making skills with enterprise-wide impact.Ability to define KPIs
