What the Role Involves
  • Hiring, training, and coaching a field-based team of B2B telecom Account Executives across Central Florida
  • Directing team strategy for SMB and complex Enterprise deals involving Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Metro Ethernet, and multi-site SD-WAN architectures
  • Managing the sales pipeline within the CRM to ensure accurate tracking from lead generation through contract signing
  • Setting and enforcing monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue quotas for individual reps and the region
  • Cultivating executive-level relationships with key enterprise clients, local government entities, and business groups across Central Florida
  • Providing accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts and market analysis to corporate leadership
  • Collaborating with network engineering, product management, and provisioning teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Championing Smart City's business principles and service standards of safety, courtesy, accuracy, and responsiveness in every customer interaction

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of successful B2B telecom sales experience, including 2-3 years in a sales management or team lead role
  • Experience selling into hospitality, healthcare, public sector, professional services, or construction verticals
  • Existing relationships with Central Florida economic development organizations or local government agencies
  • Strong technical fluency in Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Hosted Voice/UCaaS, Metro Ethernet topologies, and SD-WAN deployments
  • Proven experience navigating the Central Florida business ecosystem, with a strong understanding of the regional competitive telecom landscape
  • Advanced, hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot) for pipeline and metrics tracking
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal partners
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel daily within Central Florida (Orlando, Space Coast, and surrounding areas) up to 50% of the time for client meetings and ride-alongs
