Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Project Managers are responsible for managing broadband deployment projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the scope of the grant award. Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees and identify the appropriate resources to resolve issues related to broadband infrastructure deployment. Manage, track, and report on project progress and projected outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Managers are responsible for managing broadband deployment projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the scope of the grant award.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees and identify the appropriate resources to resolve issues related to broadband infrastructure deployment.

  • Manage, track, and report on project progress and projected outcomes.

  • Guide work and coordinate teams effectively to ensure clarity of expectations and successful achievement of objectives.

  • Facilitate communication among project team members, grantees, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and deliverables.

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.

  • Provide expert advice on broadband technologies and deployment strategies, ensuring that projects align with industry best practices.

  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to track project progress and outcomes.

  • Draft and communicate timelines, work plans, and assignments across workstreams, adjusting schedules and targets as needed.

  • Serve as a point of contact for project teams to ensure coordination, synergy and alignment.

  • Anticipate and identify issues, collaborating with teams to resolve them efficiently.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance performance and delivery.

  • Develop presentations for senior leadership to report on the status, progress and results of the project.

  • Execute modeling and optimization tools and processes to support budgeting, forecasting and periodic reporting and analysis.

  • Providing clear and concise data-driven insights to senior leadership for visibility and informed decision making.

  • Assist in the analysis and modeling of near and long-term results

  • Work comfortably in high volume, fast paced technical environment.

  • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail to facilitate quick resolution of open issues.

Qualifications
  • BS degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering (i.e., Electrical, Mechanical or Telecommunications), Mathematics or Finance/Accounting

  • 7-10 years in project management experience

  • Background in Telecommunications/Datacom Engineering and/or Construction preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate preferred.
