Job description

We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Manager to lead and scale a residential door-to-door sales team focused on fiber-optic internet services. This role is responsible for in-field leadership, daily execution, rep development, and driving customer sign-ups. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing D2D teams in fiber, telecom, or broadband environments and understands the discipline required to win at the door.
Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of residential fiber D2D sales representatives
  • Lead daily field operations, including territory planning, ride-alongs, and in-field coaching
  • Set clear activity and sales expectations tied to installs, conversions, and revenue
  • Track and manage KPIs such as doors knocked, leads generated, orders submitted, installs completed, and churn
  • Coach reps on fiber-specific selling: speed, reliability, pricing, switching objections, and competitive displacement
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly training, and ongoing product and sales skills development
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, permitting requirements, and local solicitation regulations
  • Build and maintain a competitive, accountable, and results-driven team culture
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of door-to-door sales experience, with 1–2 years leading residential teams
  • Demonstrated success selling fiber, broadband, telecom, or subscription-based services
  • Strong ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing D2D reps
  • Comfortable managing to metrics in fast-paced, install-based sales environments
  • Hands-on leader with strong coaching, communication, and accountability skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for field management
