The Network Engineering Manager is responsible for the reliable, secure, and cost-effective operation of the organization’s data center, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure. This role leads day-to-day infrastructure operations while partnering closely with architecture, security, and application teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across on-prem and cloud environments. This leader balances operational excellence with continuous improvement, ensuring infrastructure supports business growth, resilience, and evolving technology strategies.

What You'll Do:

Infrastructure & Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of data center environments, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure
  • Ensure high availability, performance, capacity, and reliability of all infrastructure services
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning for infrastructure outages
  • Establish and maintain operational runbooks, monitoring standards, and escalation procedures

Cloud & Network Oversight

  • Manage hybrid and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning
  • Oversee network architecture and operations, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and connectivity to cloud providers
  • Partner with architecture teams to support cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure automation initiatives

Security, Compliance & Resiliency

  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and enterprise resiliency planning and testing
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security controls

People & Vendor Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of infrastructure and operations engineers
  • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and support career development
  • Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, service providers, and colocation partners
  • Oversee contracts, SLAs, and vendor performance

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Manage infrastructure budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce technical debt, and optimize spend
  • Provide infrastructure insights and recommendations to senior IT and business leaders

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in infrastructure or data center operations
  • 3+ years of people management or technical team leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, virtualization, and enterprise data center technologies.
  • Experience managing hybrid cloud environments at scale
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other service management framework
