At North Sky Communications, as a Supervisor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and projects as assigned. Typical tasks will range in size and complexity. This position will assist the Telecom Manager with various large scale projects and tasks as needed throughout the Pacific Northwest. As a leader, you will mentor, support, and grow your team as they connect America. This position will be assigned to our Auburn, WA office but will be responsible for working and travelling to numerous projects primarily within WA, OR and ID; and other locations as needed. We are hiring for multiple Supervisors - but travelling will be required for all positions.

What you'll do
The Supervisor is responsible for managing all construction related activities while ensuring compliance with all code and safety regulations.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • You will coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.
  • You will coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing.
  • You will identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.
  • You will develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department.
  • You will assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.
  • You will assist in recruitment and training efforts.
  • You will assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staff
  • You will establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • You will track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents
  • You will perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues found
  • You will interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work
  • You will perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.
  • You will perform other duties not listed here, as they arise, and as they are assigned to you.

What you'll need
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • 1-2 years foreman or supervisor experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the cable and telecommunications industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must be flexible with hours as nights and weekends apply
  • Must be able to travel and work out of town reguarly, as required and averaging 75%+ (hotel & meal costs will be covered)
  • Must be able to pass Background Check with an acceptable driving record and Drug screening

The wage range for Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground - Regional is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00
