Our client is seeking an experienced Telecom / Fiber Systems Engineer to lead design, engineering, modeling, and drafting support across high-impact infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on testing and certification for fiber optic cables/connectors (OTDR, insertion/return loss, splicing, optical power, load/tension).

  • Develop detailed network diagrams and support seamless project transitions from design to build phases.

  • Provide expert technical guidance, estimates, and support to project managers, engineers, and junior team members.

  • Ensure exceptional professional support for existing and potential clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in the fiber optic field, including 3+ years in FTTH / FTTA / OSP cabling and facility engineering/architectural design.

  • Excellent knowledge of single-mode/multi-mode fibers, transceivers, design standards, and passive optical interconnects.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Proficiency in hands-on fiber optic cables/connectors testing and certification
(load/tension, splicing, optical power, insertion loss, return loss, OTDR etc.).
• Develop network diagrams.
• Support a smooth transition as a project passes from the design to the build phase.
• Provide advice, assistance and support to estimators, engineers, project managers and
other company employees when needed.
• Always support existing or potential customers with professionalism in all situations.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in the Fiber Optic Field.
• 3+ years experience with FTTH / FTTA / OSP cabling.
• 3+ years experience in facility engineering and architectural design.

• good understanding of fiber optic technologies, including single-mode and multi-
mode fibers, connectors, and transceivers, design standards, and regulations.

• Proficiency in hands-on fiber optic cables/connectors testing and certification
(load/tension, splicing, optical power, insertion loss, return loss, OTDR etc.).
• Fiber Optic field/ installation experience a plus.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
