Job description

  • Work closely with engineers to perform telecom design work in addition to drafting and project related tasks on assigned projects. Transform designs into CADD produced drawings using appropriate software.
  • Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
  • Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
  • Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
  • Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
  • Prepare concept layout plans.
  • Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
  • Conform to the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
  • Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
  • Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
  • Prepare project exhibits.
  • Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
