Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently recruiting for a Telecom System Admin to join our IT team! This position will work full-time 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, this is an IN-PERSON role.
As a Telecom System Admin, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable communication systems that support daily healthcare operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with experience administering enterprise telephony and VoIP systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving technical challenges, and be comfortable balancing end-user support with infrastructure administration, maintenance, and project work.
This role also offers the opportunity to help shape the future of our telecommunications environment by participating in voice infrastructure improvements, system upgrades, and the implementation of next-generation communications technologies.

Job Duties
  • Responds to to Tier 1 and Tier 2 level Helpdesk requests with telecommunications issues.
  • Manages telephony issues and security related incidents surrounding PBX, specifically 3CX.
  • Maintain hardware inventory for all BMC phones, headsets, and PBX equipment. Participates as a team-member for the configuration and installation of telecommunications hardware/software.
  • Performs technical review and analysis recommending technology solutions and direction as needed.
  • Assists with all automated faxing architecture and routing as well as support for printing and fax issues.
  • Performs on-call rotations based on needs of the medical center.
  • Works closely with other IT member on various projects throughout the environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Linux operating systems is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of networking basics, virtualization, and SAN technologies is a plus.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate patience and flexibility when responding to end-user needs and requests.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.

Experience:

  • Must have 3+ years' experience analyzing, planning and supporting systems in a multi-site, networked environment, preferred.
  • IT experience in a healthcare setting, highly desired.
  • Telecommunication experience desired.

Salary Range:

  • Hiring range is $78,000 - $97,000 / annually; depending on experience
