Job description

We are a low voltage systems company located in Orange that is looking for experienced Installation Formen for Access Control, IP Cameras, Structured Cabling, Phone Systems, Audio/Video, Nurse Call and other low voltage systems. We service Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, & San Diego Counties. Currently, we are hiring Formen and Technicians with experience in various cabling and device system installations in commercial, higher education, and hospital environment.

Qualified candidates must include an updated resume to be considered.

The candidate should have the following, but not limited to, experience/qualifications:

Required:

  • Between 3 and 5 years of telecommunications foreman experience.
  • Previous experience with one or all of the listed system types.
  • Must have your own work vehicle with room for a 6ft ladder (truck preferred)
  • Your own basic telecom tools including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, 6ft fiberglass ladder, etc. (a list of required tools will be provided)
  • Willing to travel independently to our job sites.

Preferred:

  • Access Control, IP Camera, Nurse call, and Structured Cabling experience (commercial and/or hospital work environment, advanced residential cabling experience will be considered)
  • Industry Related Certifications. (OSHA10/30)
  • Able to read, follow, and understand systems plans.
  • Being able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Your own basic telecom tools including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, etc. (a list of required tools can be provided upon request)
  • Technicians must be capable of interacting with the client and relaying important information to the appropriate project manager.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality and attendance, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills. Self-starters welcome.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Installing support structures and pathway (ladder rack,ceiling support, j-hooks, etc.)
  • Pulling various copper cable types and multi strand fiber for structured cabling systems, card access systems, IP cameras etc.
  • Terminating field data jacks, coax connectors and RJ-45 modular plugs
  • Dressing, routing and terminating IDF/MDF locations
  • Rack and stack work, MDF/IDF closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
  • Testing and certifying copper and fiber system cables (Fluke DSX8000)
  • Installing field devices for all types of mentioned systems
  • Experience running or bending conduit (experience is a plus)
  • Understand color codes for both fiber and copper cabling,

Salary negotiable, depending on experience.

Drug Testing may be required based on job site requirements.

Clean DMV may be required based on job site requirements.

Negative TB tests and Flu shots may also be required based on job site requirements.

COVID vaccination not mandatory, but may be required based on job site requirements.
