Work Location: Prescott, Ontario

Work Schedule: 12 hours rotating shifts

Position Summary

Production Operators are responsible for following instructions and established safety requirements to operate equipment used in various stages of the cable manufacturing process. Operators must be able to meet productivity requirements and create products that conform to quality standards.

Salary: $24.50/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures inventory accuracy by labeling and tracking material discrepancies.

  • Keeps the workplace clean and organized to ensure efficient processes and defect-free products.

  • Handles special projects in the manufacturing areas as needed.

  • Packages finished parts according to approved methods and standards.

  • Health, Safety, and Integrated Management System: Maintains a safe and healthy environment by adhering to company Health & Safety policies, complies with current legislation.

  • Reports & Administration & Other Related Duties: Maintains quality records in compliance with established standards, completes final inspection, inventory accuracy, and productivity reports, and prepares Certificates of Quality as required.

  • Team Effort: Collaborates with team members to support efforts, achieve team goals, and continuously improve processes and products.

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • This role requires frequent walking, standing, squatting, and reaching.

  • You must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Completion of high school.

  • 3 years of experience in production processes using complex machinery is considered an asset.

  • Proven experience in inspection and testing within an ISO 9000-accredited manufacturing company.
