H2 Performance Consulting is seeking an Audiologist to support the Department of Defense auditory health mission through clinical, research, and public health initiatives focused on military hearing readiness, auditory fitness for duty, and hearing conservation.

The Audiologist will support research and clinical program activities involving advanced audiometric assessment, hearing conservation, functional hearing evaluations, data interpretation, and integration of new technologies into clinical and operational environments. This position supports initiatives such as auditory fitness for duty criteria, boothless audiometry, hearing protection fit-testing, tele-audiology, hearing health education, and operational hearing performance research.

Key Responsibilities

ยท Provide clinical and scientific support for auditory health research and public health initiatives.

ยท Support development and execution of research protocols related to blast exposure, auditory injury, hearing protection, operational performance, and auditory fitness for duty.

ยท Conduct or support advanced audiometric assessments and interpretation of hearing-related data.

ยท Support evaluation and implementation of emerging hearing technologies, including boothless audiometry, hearing loss simulation tools, hearing protection fit-testing systems, and tele-audiology capabilities.

ยท Assist with participant recruitment, data collection, data management, analysis, and dissemination of research findings.

ยท Support integration of new hearing health tools into clinical workflows at Military Treatment Facilities.

ยท Provide subject matter expertise for hearing conservation program improvement in accordance with DoD requirements.

ยท Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, researchers, engineers, coordinators, technicians, and Government stakeholders.

ยท Support training, documentation, and feedback activities related to new clinical tools and systems.

Required Qualifications

ยท Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology.

ยท Minimum of 2 years of clinical and research audiology experience.

ยท Experience supporting clinical audiology, hearing conservation, occupational hearing health, research protocols, or public health programs.

ยท Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a Government or healthcare environment.

ยท Strong written and verbal communication skills.

ยท Ability to complete required Government training, including cybersecurity and HIPAA training.

Preferred Qualifications

ยท Experience supporting DoD, military, VA, or occupational health programs.

ยท Familiarity with DOEHRS-HC, MHS GENESIS, ECAA, JHASIR, or similar health record/data systems.

ยท Experience with functional hearing assessments, auditory fitness for duty, blast exposure research, hearing protection fit-testing, tele-audiology, or boothless audiometry.

ยท Prior experience supporting IRB-approved research.
