Tele Intensivists work from a remote location but provide continuous critical care expertise.

What are the typical work hours and team structure for a tele intensivist?

Tele Intensivists often work flexible or rotating shifts that may include nights, weekends, or holidays, as remote patient coverage is needed around the clock. You will operate as part of a multidisciplinary tele-ICU team, collaborating closely with bedside clinicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals through secure digital communication platforms. The team structure usually includes a mix of remote and onsite providers working together to deliver real-time, critical care support and interventions.
