What Are Different Weekend Jobs for Teens?

Teen weekend jobs include a variety of positions, such as taking orders in a fast food restaurant, promoting product sales in a retail store, or babysitting children for neighbors. In this context, the word weekend does not refer exclusively to Saturday-Sunday jobs, as it can also apply to jobs that start after school on Friday. These jobs are always part-time in the sense that you work less than 40 hours a week, but they could still require 8 hours or more each day. Most weekend jobs for teens require reliable transportation to and from the workplace, but it's also possible to find remote, online jobs that you can do during the weekend. This is a broad category of jobs, so consider narrowing it down by your location and the types of jobs you want to do.

Can I work at 14?

Teen Weekend jobs typically require applicants to be at least 14 or 15 years old, depending on state laws. In Missouri, 14-year-olds can work in certain limited roles with restrictions on hours and types of work, such as retail or food service, but must have work permits and adhere to child labor laws. Employers often require a work permit and compliance with state-specific regulations for minors.
