Job description

Description

The Structural Design and Modeling Engineer works on the development, implementation, and application of advanced modeling technologies within the Enterprise R&D organization, with a primary focus on building and construction products such as insulation systems, roofing assemblies, doors, and adjacent building envelope components. This role emphasizes structural design, simulation, and performance evaluation at the material, component, and system levels under static, dynamic, large deformation, and multi-physics loading conditions relevant to real-world manufacturing, installation, service, and durability requirements. Leveraging strong expertise in finite element analysis, CAD-based product development, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), this Engineer translates customer, product, process, and application needs into robust product specifications and modeling-driven design solutions for construction-related products. Owens Corning is devoted to delivering sustainable solutions across our three business segments while striving to ensure our people and products make the world a better place. We take pride in having an inclusive and diverse workplace with employees around the globe. This Granville based full-time position reports to the Leader- Advanced Modeling & Simulation within Enterprise R&D organization. The Engineer is expected to have strong expertise in structural design, finite element modeling, CAD-to-analysis workflows, and product performance analysis for building envelope and construction-related products.
