Senior Cyber and Tech Risk
About the Role
Underwrite transactional Cyber and Tech E&O risks as well as develop relationships with agents & brokers and CAD's business development team to grow our book of business. Assist in the development and underwriting support of new specialty liability lines that may include Crime, MPL. Provide market intelligence in this rapidly changing segment to insure we are competitively positioned to grow in all our specialty products. Achieve our long-term financial goals. Support our alternative distribution channels and partnerships to insure they are growing profitably. Working with the Cyber Practice lead to work collaboratively with our internal and external partners to support necessary product, coverage and rate changes for our cyber products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Quote, rate, bind, and issue policies, including interim changes throughout the policy lifecycle
  • Support execution of underwriting and portfolio objectives across cyber products
  • Monitor, evaluate, and recommend enhancements to underwriting processes for direct cyber products and MGA partnerships
  • Analyze market trends and recommend coverage, pricing, and product changes to maintain competitive positioning
  • Partner internally to implement product, coverage, and rate updates through established processes
  • Manage marketing efforts and track cyber-related client management activities
  • Collaborate with internal business development teams and external agents to drive new business growth
  • Educate and train internal stakeholders and external partners on cyber products and underwriting approach
  • Ensure audit compliance and adherence to underwriting guidelines, standards, and authority levels

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Five or more years of experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry
  • Three or more years of cyber liability underwriting experience, with additional experience in a cyber-related field such as claims, product administration, underwriting, or cybersecurity
  • Experience in commercial underwriting and/or marketing experience.
  • IT or Cyber security related experience.
  • Experience in Cyber, Technology E&O, or Management Liability (carrier or consulting environment preferred)
  • IT or cybersecurity-related experience preferred
  • CPCU, RPLU, or other relevant insurance designation preferred
  • Experience in the Cyber, Tech, E&O or other Management Liability products including Crime and MPL (e.g. either on the insurance or on the consulting side)

• The salary range for this position is $ 138,400 - $203,000, plus opportunity for company bonus. In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
