Job description

Graham Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to be the primary point of contact for our customers' Federal IT Program Managers. This role involves managing high-level IT projects, ensuring alignment with federal guidelines, and driving successful outcomes within a matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in both traditional and Agile project environments.
Location: Hybrid position from the DC area, Las Vegas, or Albuquerque
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the single point of contact for customers' Federal IT Program Managers, ensuring seamless communication and project coordination.
  • Oversee and execute IT projects following both traditional waterfall and Agile life cycle methodologies.
  • Effectively manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop clear, complete project management artifacts (charters, plans, schedules, requirements, and reports) in accordance with PMO standards and lifecycle processes.
  • Collaborate across matrixed teams to coordinate resources and ensure successful project execution.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio skills to create and manage project documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leaders, delivering updates, insights, and recommendations.
  • Leverage expertise in strategic thinking, multi-tasking, negotiation, conflict management, and time management to drive project success.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Clearance: Must possess an active Q clearance or TS/SCI.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on IT project management experience in the Federal Government, including projects utilizing both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Certifications: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Skills:
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
    • Experience working within a matrixed organizational structure.
    • Proven ability to plan and execute complex programs to achieve defined goals.
    • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio.
    • Strong skills in strategic thinking, negotiation, conflict management, time management, and planning.

Preferred:
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PRINCE2, or SAFe Agile certification.
  • Experience managing IT projects in a government or defense-related environment.
  • Knowledge of federal IT standards, policies, and frameworks.
