Job description

Champion Your Future with Tarkett Sports! Build your career with a world leader in sports construction and surfacing.
We are looking for a hands-on SAP S4HANA Project Manager to lead a multi-phase greenfield Public Cloud implementation and shape the project governance that doesn't yet exist. This is a true builder role - high visibility, high ownership, and the chance to define how major programs get delivered across our Manufacturing and Construction operations. You'll be the force that keeps the SI accountable, the business protected, and the program moving. You will be reporting to the Senior Director, ERP Modernization Information Technology.

The position is remote to the United States, preference in Georgia, Atlanta and requires heavy travel in Canada and United States.

Born from an entrepreneurial spirit and driven to find better solutions, Tarkett Sports challenges the status quo and continues to change the game for athletes and facility owners-pioneering innovations that have reshaped entire industries. From architectural design and full-scope construction to a comprehensive portfolio of industry-leading sports surfacing solutions, we lead with passion, pride, and purpose.

Trusted at every level, from professional stadiums to local community venues, Tarkett Sports is at the surface of over 80,000 installations - highlighted by projects in NFL, CFL, MLS, and at renowned NCAA division I programs.

Join the team behind renowned names like FieldTurf, Beynon Sports, ClassicCourt, GrassMaster, Tarkett Sports Indoor and Tarkett Sports Construction. Help us build the next world-class venue.

Why This Role Matters:

You're not stepping into a machine - you're building it. This is your chance to create the project management culture for a company undergoing a major digital transformation. You'll have autonomy, visibility, and the mandate to run the program the right way.

What you'll do:

  • Lead SAP S/4HANA Delivery: Drive the end-to-end execution of a multi-phase Public Cloud implementation, managing dependencies, RAID logs, and critical path across IT, the SI, and business teams.

  • Build Governance from the Ground Up: Establish the project management framework - status reporting, change control, escalation paths - and own it.

  • Hold the SI Accountable: Challenge plans, identify gaps, track deliverables, and ensure quality and scope stay on track.

  • Bridge IT, Finance & Operations: Partner with our Finance Sponsor and business leaders to ensure the solution supports project-based accounting, WIP, manufacturing costs, and operational realities.

  • Protect Business Teams: Plan SME/BPO involvement thoughtfully to avoid burnout and keep operations running smoothly.

  • Drive Testing & Go-Live Discipline: Ensure UAT, defect management, cutover, and phase gates are structured, sequenced, and respected.

  • Support Broader IT Projects: Provide PM oversight for additional IT initiatives as needed.

What you need for success:

  • 10-15 years of PM experience, including 8+ years leading ERP programs in client-side or owner-side roles.

  • At least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation and strong knowledge of SAP Activate and SAP ALM.

  • Functional understanding of SAP FI or Supply Chain, especially integration with Manufacturing, Project Systems, and job costing.

  • Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, or complex industrial environments.

  • Proven ability to manage System Integrators and challenge vendor plans effectively.

  • A self-starter who thrives without a formal PMO and brings their own toolkit (RAID, templates, governance frameworks).

  • Strong stakeholder range - from executive sponsors to plant managers.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, or Engineering + PMP/PRINCE2/SAP Activate certification.

  • Bonus: Big 4 consulting background or experience with SAP Public Cloud releases.

  • Travel: 50-75% - Canada and United States

What you can expect:

  • A culture built on teamwork, respect, and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Leadership that invests in your growth and career development

  • Opportunities to take on new challenges, cross-train, and expand your skillset

  • Recognition and rewards for your contributions and achievements

  • A fast-paced, sports-driven environment where your work makes an impact

Sounds like your kind of team?

If you're ready to bring your passion and talent to a company that champions your future, we want to hear from you. Apply now and start your next chapter with a company that plays to win!
