Job Description

We are seeking a Test & Validation Engineering Intern to support hands on lab, workshop, vehicle, and build operations for automotive radar validation activities across DV/PV programs. This role will assist with lab documentation, vehicle readiness, harness and test build support, fixture and tooling organization, bench setup support, and supervised validation test activities. The intern will work closely with engineers, technicians, lab personnel, and project teams to help maintain organized workspaces, support test readiness, track equipment and assets, and improve execution readiness for active validation campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervised support for vehicle testing, validation test execution, vehicle based checks, and recording of test related observations as directed by the engineering team.
  • Support environmental test bench setup and teardown activities in the validation lab, including basic equipment movement, setup organization, asset tracking, and readiness checks.
  • Help maintain test fixture, bracket, tooling, harness, plug in, and lab asset inventory records to support ongoing DV/PV execution and cross site test readiness.
  • Support test trailer, vehicle, and lab area organization, cleanup, and readiness activities to maintain a safe and efficient validation work environment.
  • Support hands on lab and workshop operations for radar sensor design validation and product validation test programs, including preparation, organization, and readiness activities for active test campaigns.
  • Generate, file, and maintain workshop and lab documentation including schematics, layouts, procedures, processes, reports, and supporting validation records.
  • Maintain organization of lab equipment, cabinets, drawers, storage areas, fixtures, brackets, tooling, and lab consumables to support traceability and readiness.
  • Support test vehicle readiness activities including vehicle inspections, vehicle logistics checklists, parts pickup, parts running for maintenance, vehicle service coordination, vehicle pickup and drop off, and vehicle detailing.
  • Assist with wiring harness builds, test vehicle builds, test setup preparation, and related mechanical or electrical build activities under engineer or technician supervision.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
  • Comfortable with hands on mechanical and electrical work, including basic hand tools, wiring, lab equipment, vehicle support, and test setup activities.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics, automotive electronic products, validation testing, lab documentation, or vehicle systems. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation, equipment records, and readiness trackers.
  • Valid driver's license for vehicle logistics, service support, and pickup or drop off activities, where required.
  • Good communication skills with internal team members, engineers, technicians, lab personnel, and suppliers.
  • Since this is a yearlong internship, you must be enrolled in a program for the duration of the internship.
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum Sophomore standing or higher
  • Must be able to work on site during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)
