We are seeking a proactive and technology-focused Innovation Specialist to support the firmโ€™s growing Innovation function and assist with the implementation, adoption, and day-to-day support of legal technology and generative AI initiatives across the firm. This role will work closely with the Innovation Manager, Innovation Counsel, lawyers, IT, knowledge management, and administrative teams to help drive successful technology adoption and enhance lawyer and staff productivity.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a legal or professional services environment and is passionate about legal technology, generative AI, workflow improvement, and user support. This individual should be comfortable providing hands-on training, troubleshooting technology issues, supporting pilot programs and implementations, and delivering high-touch, white glove support to lawyers and business professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technology Support & User Enablement

  • Provide day-to-day support for legal technology, generative AI, and innovation-related tools used across the firm.
  • Deliver white glove, 1:1 training and support to lawyers and professional staff on technology tools and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot user issues, answer questions, and coordinate with IT and vendors to resolve technical problems.
  • Assist with onboarding users to new technologies, applications, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Support user adoption efforts through hands-on guidance, follow-up, and responsive support.

Training & Education

  • Assist with development and delivery of training sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and user materials.
  • Create user guides, quick-reference resources, FAQs, and internal knowledge documentation.
  • Help educate lawyers and staff on best practices relating to generative AI usage, prompting, and responsible use policies.
  • Support ongoing learning initiatives related to legal technology and innovation.

Innovation & AI Support

  • Assist the Innovation Manager and Innovation Counsel with implementation and testing of legal technology and AI solutions.
  • Support pilot programs, product rollouts, and innovation initiatives across practice groups and administrative teams.
  • Assist with use case tracking, feedback collection, and user experience analysis.
  • Help identify opportunities for workflow improvement and process automation.

Workflow & Document Automation

  • Support document automation and workflow automation initiatives across the firm.
  • Assist with configuration, testing, and maintenance of automated templates, workflows, and legal technology platforms.
  • Help evaluate and test generative AI tools and other AI-driven products relevant to legal workflows and operations.

Vendor & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams regarding product support, training, and implementation activities.
  • Assist with maintaining documentation related to innovation projects, vendor evaluations, and technology initiatives.
  • Support tracking of adoption metrics, training participation, and project status updates.
  • Experience working in a law firm, legal services environment, legal technology company, or professional services organization.
  • Familiarity with prompting techniques and practical use of generative AI tools in professional environments.
  • Experience conducting user training or technology support.
  • Exposure to litigation support, document management systems, or legal operations workflows.
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365, Google Docs and Drive, collaboration tools, and legal applications commonly used in law firms.
  • Certifications or coursework related to legal technology, AI, project management, or training are a plus.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Experience with document automation platforms, workflow automation tools, or knowledge management systems.
  • Prior experience supporting technology, document automation, or workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with generative AI platforms and other AI-driven technologies.
  • Strong interest in innovation, technology adoption, and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to provide high-touch, white glove support to lawyers and business professionals.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

Position Details

This is a full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt level position. Final rate of pay will be commensurate with the incumbentโ€™s experience, with a targeted hiring range of $110,000-$145,000(the upper range reserved for highly qualified applicants). This position is currently available in our NY and DC office locations only.
