About This Role

We are looking for a Technology Delivery Lead to the end-to-end AML Case Management/Intelligent Investigations - Canada technology solution and guide technology delivery from development through production deployment and transition to business-as-usual operations.

In this role, you will manage and coordinate technology delivery across a portfolio of projects while leading a high-performing team of technology professionals. You will also provide technical leadership beyond your immediate team, supporting strategic initiatives that modernize technology and capabilities in line with portfolio and enterprise roadmaps.

This role requires strong AML knowledge and the ability to lead all aspects of AML technology delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the technology vendor, AML technology teams, data delivery teams, program delivery, testing teams, business sponsors, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth and effective delivery.

  • Lead project activities across technology teams, including design, development, business analysis, testing, and infrastructure.

  • Coordinate onshore and offshore development activities.

  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships (Hummingbird) for technical delivery, ensuring timely and accurate communication and issue resolution.

  • Lead and partner with development teams to build environments, work closely with internal partners and vendors on application and infrastructure design, and data Subject Matter Experts in support of significant data integration.

  • Partner with internal and external teams to ensure requirements, project plans, resource plans, and changes to commitments are completed and communicated to all stakeholders.

  • Provide technology delivery leadership on initiatives working in partnership with Business Owner, and overall Project/Program Delivery Lead.

  • Conduct software quality assurance reviews and support vendor and contract management activities.

  • Ensure functional and non-functional requirements, project plans, and commitment changes are communicated to all relevant team members.

  • Incorporate production support needs into the design process, including resiliency and availability considerations.

  • Oversee and report on project status, manage resources and assignments, and ensure milestones are achieved to the required standard.

  • Partner with Solution Architects to ensure components are integrated and aligned with enterprise frameworks, standards, and patterns.

  • Work with testing partners to manage defects, set priorities with stakeholders, and support timely resolution.

  • Engage technology partners such as Release Management, Risk Management, and TS Operations to address technical requirements and standards, and ensure changes are tested, monitored, and implemented without business disruption.

  • Identify development-related dependencies and risks, and ensure mitigation and contingency plans are in place.

  • Serve as an escalation point for technology risks and issues affecting projects, and help define and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Deliver within financial forecasts and support achievement of benefits targets for Application Delivery and Support teams.

  • Foster a culture of productivity, innovation, continuous improvement, teamwork, and professionalism.

  • Provide team leadership across coaching, development, succession planning, recruitment, and resource management, and contribute regular input to performance and development planning.

Job Requirements:

What can you bring to TD?Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

  • University degree or technical certificate, preferably in technology or engineering.

  • At least 7 years of hands-on delivery experience across technology development, testing, and infrastructure in complex technology projects.

  • Strong technical and implementation experience, including knowledge of AML and related regulatory reporting requirements. Strong understanding of banking systems, customer, account, and transaction data, and how that data supports AML monitoring and investigations.

  • Strong knowledge of technology delivery, project management, and project financial management

  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.

  • Exposure to big data and analytics platforms, including public cloud data lake environments, is an asset.

  • Ability to lead teams including experience of managing vendor teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with business partners, understand financial markets and regulation, and apply analytics to drive business value.

  • Ability and motivation to lead and collaborate with large, diverse teams delivering complex development, system enhancements, new releases, and large-scale applications across multiple product lines and businesses.
