Technology Transactions Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Technology Transactions Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm in either Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate with experience at the intersection of technology, intellectual property, and corporate transactions to work on sophisticated, cutting-edge deals involving emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.

The ideal candidate will have 3โ€“6 years of experience advising on technology and intellectual property matters in connection with private equity and M&A transactions. Candidates should have experience conducting IP and AI-focused due diligence, negotiating transaction documents, and advising clients on complex commercial technology arrangements.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 3โ€“6 years of technology transactions experience at a leading law firm
  • Experience advising on IP and AI issues in private equity and M&A transactions
  • Strong experience with commercial contracting and software licensing agreements
  • The ability to manage complex, technology-driven transactions
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with data privacy and cybersecurity matters is a plus
  • Admission to the bar in the preferred office jurisdiction
