General Description

A Warehouse Associate is a professional who is responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing and storing inventory according to purchase orders and Company policy and procedures. They also ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention. Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Accurately count, record, and scan inventory for discrepancies. Perform unpacking, put aways, and picking tasks. Load and unload trucks and arrange for the transportation of products.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures and rates
  • Create daily shipping reports; create and print picking slips; and file all paperwork in proper file cabinets
  • Receive, unpack, and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages, and arrange to rectify damages and shortages
  • Utilize RF scanners to accurately perform order picking and put aways
  • Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves and inventory; count accurately
  • Ensure that all shipments are sent out and/or received in a timely fashion
  • Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Promptly load and unload trucks
  • Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
  • Communicate with our purchasing/sales department to resolve issues promptly
  • Participate in regular inventory count
  • Maintain a clean and neat warehouse and surrounding area
  • Breakdown boxes and recycle weekly
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies, including use of personal protective equipment
  • Other related duties as assigned
