Job description

Boiling Point is a growing Taiwanese Hot Soup specialty restaurant with locations in the US, Canada, and China. At Boiling Point, we have a mission to bring great food to a wide audience. Purpose/Summary:

To provide day-to-day technical support to the Company's restaurants, corporate office, and employees. The IT Associate will serve as a first point of contact for IT-related issues, assisting with ticket management, Point of Sale (POS) support, software troubleshooting, hardware troubleshooting, and other technical support needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing technical support and assistance to Company employees and restaurant locations, including, but not limited to:

- Review, prioritize, assign, and respond to incoming IT support tickets

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the scope of the position

- Maintain accurate notes and documentation for completed tickets

  • Provide technical support for the Company's Point of Sale (POS) systems, NCR Aloha:

- Troubleshoot basic POS hardware and software issues

- Troubleshoot login, access, connectivity, and application-related problems

- Assist with software installation, updates, and basic configuration as directed

  • Provide hardware support and troubleshooting, including:

- Computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners and other peripherals

- Basic troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and replacement of IT equipment

- Assist with the setup and deployment of new computers and equipment

- Maintain an organized inventory of IT equipment

- Assist with store related hardware (POS terminals, credit card readers, order monitors, etc)

  • Provide remote and on-site technology setup, including computers, software, accounts, and other equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting network and connectivity issues
  • Maintain documentation of common technical issues
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving IT-related issues.

- Develop or recommend, and/or present necessary company-wide computer safety trainings and best practices to enhance computer literacy among the organization's employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience working in Information Technology, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.
  • Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to multitask and work in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in computer knowledge including MS Office Suite products.
  • Bilingual Chinese (able to read/write/speak Mandarin Chinese) is a plus.
  • All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process.

Physical demands:

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend and lift occasionally.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work environment:

  • Work will be conducted in an office environment.
  • May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces.
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
